NoteTrax ("we," "us," "our") provides a portfolio management tool for individual and small scale note investors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, and login credentials when you create an account.

Portfolio data you enter: information about notes you own or manage, including property or asset details, financial terms, payment history, and contact records for borrowers, servicers, sellers, and partners you choose to add.

Billing information: we use Stripe to process subscription payments. We do not collect or store your credit card number. Stripe handles that directly, and we only receive confirmation of your subscription status.

Usage data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically to help us maintain and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the service you have signed up for
• Process subscription payments (via Stripe)
• Communicate with you about your account or the service
• Improve the product based on how it is used
• Comply with legal obligations

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your portfolio data to third parties. This includes the data you enter about your notes, borrowers, or contacts.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us operate the product, such as our hosting and database provider and Stripe for payment processing, under agreements that restrict their use of your data to providing that service.
• Legal or safety reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
• A business transfer, if NoteTrax is acquired or merges with another company. You would be notified before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly investigating and addressing any suspected breach.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time through your account settings, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to request a copy of your data or ask that it be deleted.

9. Children's Privacy

NoteTrax is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the product before they take effect.
